Tom Miner Basin Montana Petrified Wood slab Old Collection Perfect Round
Tom Miner Basin Montana Petrified Wood Limb slab Old Collection. Bryant Washburn collection of Utah. 6.25″×6″ and 1/4 thick. The Gallatin Petrified Forest, just north of Yellowstone National Park in Tom Miner Basin, contains petrified wood from what is called the Sepulcher Formation (the Petrified Tree in the Lost Lake area is also a member). Many of the trees in the petrified forest are preserved redwoods and temperate hardwood trees. This is hard material to get, on top of being grizzly bear country snowed in half the year. Collecting at this location is limited to fist sized pieces, one and only one piece with valid permit from forestry dept. We promise to try and provide the highest quality of polished stones and customer service, so that u feel just as comfortable shopping with us as a huge chain store. Please follow or subscribe to our store to stay up to date with details of new listings. Or after making offers wait for your updated invoice. We have always enjoyed fossils and agates. After learning about quality wood and identifying different species my hobby has turned into wanting more including the means to provide high quality mirror finished polished stone. So we sell some items that we find and have acquired from other collectors. We constantly seek quality materials sourced at fair prices or in the field. So that we can provide the same. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions regarding items. I try and respond to offers or messages as promptly as possible.
