Brogan Fossil Wood is a difficult to acquire, yet highly desirable species of petrified wood that is best distinguished by the intricately detailed and perfectly preserved round limb specimens with complete exterior bark, just as this specimen exhibits! In addition, hard wood vessel remnants in red and yellow are readily viewed when the fully agatized interior of the petrified wood is exposed. This type of petrified wood is EXTREMELY scarce and difficult for even the most prolific collectors to acquire! There are few fractures upon the display face but all imperfections are quite stable and seem to add a touch of character to the rare display specimen. The perfectly polished display limb has an all natural termination with full circular growth rings proving the entirety of the round and the fossil limb weighs 15.8 ounces exactly. The beautiful display specimen measures 70mm by 52mm by 80mm. All photographs taken while the specimen was dry.
