This is a personal find in Brazos County Texas within a Manning Geological Formation, Eocene age exposure. A snakewood is a long extinct tree species with a grain that looks identical to snake skin when viewed in cross section. Rarely found in only a few small areas within Texas and Louisiana. This natural item has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, but not altered in any other way. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
