This Large specimen of chromium petrified wood could most likely but. Not sure if it came from Winslow Arizona. The deceased owner was a rock hound so no one to authenticate where it was found. It has not been polished or cut. It weighs approx 7.8 lbs (3540 grams). Approx 17″ long 5 1/2 ” wide 1 1/2 at thickest point. This is a large specimen of chromium green petrified wood thus Pieces this size are rarely ever offered and the incremental increase in size usually as an exponential increase in value especially with this excellent bark texture. This will be a premium piece in someone’s collection. Specimens are extremely rare, chromium petrified wood is a natural hygrometer, becoming pale or light green in dry conditions and dark green when exposed to humidity or moisture.
