Yellow Cat Redwood limb Specimen collected at Tusher Canyon. This is a another section of one of the finest limbs found at the Tusher site. Two polished faces, 2.5 x 2 x 1.5 cm limb section. A mirror finish and exceptional fortification with fortification suspended in clear silica, no fractures. The photos don’t capture the incredible depth, color and clarity of these trophy agates. I use a loupe to really appreciate the intricate fortification in these Tusher cast limbs. Total weight is about 11 grams. I will be listing more specimens from my personal collection including a few of the finest ever found in the near future. There are very few of these remaining and I haven’t collected any in eight years. For those of you who are familiar with Yellow Cat Redwood, the quality of a specimen is obvious when viewing good photos. The brilliant reds and yellows are unique to this material even when seen in the rough. Those of you who are not familiar, there is another carnelian agate found in this area that is a pseudomorph of Barite. Be aware that Barite pseudomorph is a common mineral occurrence with a very low value that is comparable to other cutting agates. I have seen listings advertising Barite as Yellow Cat. Please examine all photos and the description carefully in order to be confident with your choice before purchasing.
