Are replaced over time by opal crystal as the wood fossilizes. Makes it one of the rarest types of Opals. My photos are taken under a 27 watt daylight lamp. That is also how I enjoy looking at my collection. Opals are best viewed in natural sunlight but a nice daylight lamp or. LED pen flashlight will bring out the color and fire!
