My great grandmother got this in the early 1930’s. It’s one of the most unique pieces I’ve ever seen due to its knot and multiple holes along with the unique shades of color and grain texture differentiation from one side to the other. It’s truly impressive art from mother nature. People see different images in it viewing it from different sides, angles and lighting. Some say it looks like an old mans head with the knot as his nose, some say the knot looks like a face with the mouth open, some have said they see Alf or a dog head looking at it.
