Incredible round of petrified winged elm. One of the hearts even has a tiny double heart in the center! I have never seen that before anywhere! Many, many growth rings. From the classic location Grassy Mountain in eastern Oregon. It comes out of one of the finest collections of petrified wood in the Northwest! Perfect, liquid, glassy polish. Preservation is perfect, and is wonderful under the microscope. Beautifully agatized in colors of brown and gold. And it’s double hearted!!! 9 x 8 x 3/8. From the Not For Sale portion of the previous owners collection! You don’t see quality like this often. I have been collecting wood for 30 years, and this is as good as it gets.
