DESCRIPTION: This piece is cool and has a lot going on, including some small blue agate streaks, nice classic sycamore grain patterns, and defined lines separating the lighter and darker shades. A super nice sphere of Sycamore that measure a little over 4 3/4 and weighs in at 4lbs 15oz. It was identified by Walton Wright, renowned botanist/ecologist/geologist, paleobotanist. This Sycamore sphere is very unique with a top grade polish so good it makes it hard taking photos because of the reflection. By one of the best sphere makers on the West Coast and will make a great addition to any collection. DIG LOCATION: This petrified wood comes from Holleywood Ranch in Sweet Home Oregon. Holleywood Ranch is home to some of the highest grade petrified wood in the Pacific Northwest. Researchers have identified 65 species on the property so far! Many of which were said to be among some of the highest quality and widest variety found worldwide!
