The slab was in the dealer’s show stock collection. That dealer had dug the log and processed the slab which was identified by a local expert as “cedar”. The person that identified the species also recognized several areas in the stone as imprints left by wood boring worms. This is a large slab with a nice polish. It will add value to any fossil collection and is being offered at a price well below wholesale. The slab is very stable and has been fortified with fiberglass layer on the back side of the slab. Slab weighs 10.0 lbs or 4.5 KG. 17.5 x 13 x 0.75 inches (45 x 33 x 2 cm). Stands and fixtures in photos are not included.
