Very rare specimen of Hermanophyton from the McElmo Canyon locality in Colorado. This is an unusually large piece – measuring 10.5 across and weighing over 5 pounds! It a full round showing the characteristic lobed structure of this extinct genus of wood. Contour polished on one side, the surface is a little wavy/concave typical of old time specimens that were polished with a handheld sander. 10.5″ face, 1″ thick, 5.25 pounds.
