Live oak with branch in the face Montgomery county, Texas Found in Beaumont formation (sands) Pleistocene era 17″ × 9.75″ and on average 5/8 thick. I do not know of any full round oaks from this county making it to the market so far besides these. This is the county just north of Houston. Beautiful blacks with yellow to contrast the white lines. Took a great polish in the silicified areas. One of the newest and prettiest texas woods ive seen.
