Here is a beautiful petrified wood, from Arizona, as we were told, just outside the Park. We bought it years ago. Please look at the yardstick in some of the photos for size (photos 2 and 5). We have no idea how much it weighs, as our scales don’t go high enough. I would guess maybe 300 lbs. Or more, not really sure. I can tell you that three grown men were huffing and puffing to get it up one flight of stairs. Therefore, this is pick-up only. My back doesn’t need to mess with it. I suggest you get 3 people (with gloves and good shoes, not flip-flops) who can lift, to put it in your vehicle. And a vehicle that can do the work. When we originally bought it years ago, we put it in the trunk of a Ford Taurus. No problem, we just packed lots of blankets by it so it didn’t roll. And please give us several days in advance so we can get it out of our safe storage (it is no longer where we took the pictures). The piece is solid, with no damage cracks, other than the beautiful areas where the bark is gone. Actually this part is way prettier than the bark itself, in my opinion. One side shows mostly all bark (photo 6), the other side has the bark worn away and shows colorful pieces of petrified wood.
